Starstruck ...
Hey Christi, this one's for you!
I was getting petrol on my way to work this morning and guess who I almost bumped into at the Mobil? NIK CARLSON from NZ Idol!!
He smiled at me!!!
I kept looking at him after that, trying to work up enough courage to ask for his autograph, but then I realised I had a pen but no paper (hang on, I could have used my receipt, DOH!) ... actually I was too shy to say anything :(
I wish I had though. I love Nik, I wanted him to win, I voted for him!
Now I am completely agog with excitement and want to tell everybody about it ... but I know my workmates would just laugh at me :)
PS. He drives a silver Nissan Skyline, and he was buying coffee and fuel additive ...

OMG! What Mobil? We don't have mobils on the coast do we? Holy heck! I missed out! What crap! I'm the same with the autographs, I was embarassed to be getting autographs since I'm not a teenager even if I am head over heels lol. Nice that you paid ultra attention to what he bought cause you knew I would want to know, right? ;) I bet I know where you plan on getting your fuel from now on! Were others staring or just you?
Christi, it was the Mobil on Constellation Drive (just down the road from my work) ... although there IS a Mobil in Red Beach, FYI :)
Nobody else was there, it was "just the two of us" LOL. Mind you, it was 6.45am so not many people are around at that time of day! I think that's why I felt so silly for not speaking to him ... it wasn't like anybody else would have been looking at me or anything. I totally should have said something. I'm such a dork.
Lucky you! I bet you will be frequenting that place more often lol! I would have said something, well depended on how I looked at the time. Be prepared for next time!
Not to change the subject, but do you go to the doctor across from the Warehouse? If so what doctor do you see?
I'll be prepared, Christi! I actually looked half-decent yesterday, so there really was no excuse for not speaking to him.
Yes, we do go to Family Doctors. We see Ruth Alberts but I know her patient list is full and she is not taking on any new ones. But sometimes we have to see Dr Howe or Dr Egglestone, both of whom are very nice. My mum (Janet) actually works there, on reception!
OK you girls - what is all this drooling over these guys?? Huh? HUh? Hannah, should I be worried - first TIM and now NIK??????

Anyway, must tell you what happened with Ethan today - he's staying the night. We were getting ready to go out and I had put on some lipstick - as you do!! - and he came in and said " hey what are you putting that on your face for?" ( actually it was on my lips!!) I said it was to help me look pretty. He said " But, it's actually disgusting!! and it won't be happy!"
Needless to say I cracked up and then he thought I was very strange!! Oh and I carried him part of the way back from the park on my shoulders and he said "OH Nana this is nice and warm - I love this!" He does make my heart melt. LUV you Ethan!!

Hannah, I'm sure I would have been just as starstruck if I'd seen a local celebrity at my local Petrocan station! You are too funny. I'd love to see NZ Idol - I watch the American one, but not the Canadian one - weird eh? I can't vote in the American one either, you have to be in the US. I just watch it because I'm a little bit in love with Simon, even if he is a crusty old git sometimes. LOL. Our Canadian equivalent isn't as abrasive, or entertaining. You are too funny taking notice of Nik's car and purchases LOL!
Hi Hannah! Lucky you! I'd LOVE to see Nik once again, even at the petrol station early in the morning :) I met him backstage at the Idolised Tour in Auckland and he was so nice, I took a photo with him and he signed a autograph. We chatted a bit, he is a very, very nice guy. I wanted him to win too, and it's a shame that his first single didn't have much success, he definitely deserves a lot more!
You should have said HI to him, I'm sure you would have made a great conversation with him, he is very nice.
